Rome is full of monumental architecture and sculpture. Rome is the Eternal City, it is ancient, rennaissance, classical and modern. The sculptures in this collection of notecards are from the mid Twentieth Century, from the dark period known as Fascism. However, even in its darkest hours, Rome was capable of producing awe-inspiring art. This marble open air stadium was built as part of the Olympic complex and the masculine scupltures that decorate its perimeter are meant to represent the various provinces of Italy. Here are five of them, colorized to enhance their humanity.
These 5 x 7 inch notecards are printed on high quality acid free paper, using archival quality pigment inks. This is the technique often called “giclée.”
The package includes acid free interleaf tissues, envelopes and twenty corner mounting brackets for use in framing. The envelopes are meant for storage and for mounting purposes, not for mailing. The cards fit easily into standard size frames with appropriate mats (available in hobby craft stores) with an opening for 5 x 7 inch images. An example of a framed image is shown here.
